A little history...
The Dailuaine distillery was founded in 1851 by William Mackenzie. When he died in 1865, his widow rented the distillery to James Fleming, a banker from Aberlour. He and William, Mackenzie's son, founded the company Mackenzie and Company.
The distillery was extended several times to become one of the largest distilleries in the Highlands, it was the first distillery to have a pagoda roof that is now seen throughout Scotland on other distilleries. It is now owned by Diageo.
The blend used is a JOHNNY WALKER, bottled in limited quantities under the name of Flora and Fauna. Of the 5.2 million liters produced annually, only 2 to 3% are bottled to be sold as single malt!
