After more than 5 years' ageing in American oak barrels from Kentucky and Missouri, in the purest tradition of HSE rums, this vintage will have spent 12 months in 225 and 500 litre Porto casks. The bouquet opens with delicate aromas of freshly roasted cocoa beans and candied fruits. The agitation reveals beautiful notes of rare spices fully-integrated into the wood. The palate offers a fine and balanced attack where the empyreumatic notes of chocolate gradually give way to a gourmet finish.
